The Mahwah Board of Education, and all of the administrative offices for the school district, is located at 60 Ridge Road, behind the high school. The offices of the board president, superintendent and some other business administrators are located inside this building. As the central administration building for the district, this is where the township's board meetings take place. Sage Day at Mahwah is a private special education facility with locations in Mahwah, Rochelle Park and Boonton. The school offers academic, emotional and social education to students in fifth through twelfth grades. This institution teaches thorough therapeutic methods to it's growing number of students.
The Ramapo College of New Jersey is a state college located at 505 Ramapo Valley Road (Route 202), in Mahwah. Founded in 1969, this four-year institution now has nearly 6,000 students enrolled in undergraduate, graduate and professional programs of study. With a 300-acre campus, this college offers multiple facilities, including athletic buildings, courts and fields, a spiritual center, academic, administration and residence buildings, theaters, art galleries, eating spaces and more.
