At Southern School of Martial Arts and Rivers Edge Bujinkan Dojo we have several training programs. Currently all programs are taught by the head instructor, Soke Mark Murdock a 40 year veteran of Manabi-Masho Ju-Jitsu and several other martial arts styles. Soke Murdock is the head of the system. Soke Murdock is also a Shidoshi in Bujinkan Ninjutsu, (Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu) and the head instructor of Rivers Edge Bujinkan Dojo. At our school students get a higher level training from an expert that has extensive experience in several styles of martial arts. Were far above the average martial arts school. We have two childrens programs and two adult programs. Our childrens programs are, Little Ninja preschool, ages 3 to 5, Kobushi-Do (Jr. Manabi-Masho Ju-Jitsu) ages 6 through 12 and teen and adult, ages 13 to 17 and 18 and up. We teach a very effective and exclusive martial arts and self defense program that is highly effective. We teach martial arts that are more of a reality style and meant for self protection and the protection of others. We focus on developing martial arts skill with responsibility, bully prevention and defense, confidence building and learning how to lead and teach the art. In addition to the martial arts our students learn valuable life lessons with ongoing personal development and life changing goal setting. We teach students how to be their best in life and how to achieve goals that were once thought unobtainable. Our students gain high levels of self-confidence, self-esteem, self-respect and respect for others and self-discipline through our very effective martial arts and self-defense program. Our program also promotes a better level of physical fitness and helps relieve stress which has great health benefits. We empower our students to excel in the martial arts and then become teachers of the martial arts. Were a black belt and above school. In order to be the best of the best you have to put your mind in gear to achieving the goal you set for yourself. It takes hard work and perseverance and really pays off when you obtain that goal; for example, the first step, a black belt. We teach Casarez Manabi-Masho Ju-Jitsu "The Original" John Casarezs Manabi-Masho Ju-Jitsu. We also teach Bujinkan Ninjutsu. Please visit our website for information on all that we teach. We have a tiered curriculum that starts out at a basic level. You can upgrade to a more advanced and higher level of training in the leadership program and then to an even higher level of training in the Black Belt Club. Once you achieve brown belt you would be eligible to upgrade to the Instructor program. At 2nd degree black belt you would be eligible for the Masters program. Students who achieve a 5th degree black belt would be eligible for the Soke-Dai (Inheritor) program. Therea a lot of room to grow in our martial arts style. The head instructor is a 10th Dan Grand Master in Ju-Jitsu and a 5th Dan Shidoshi in Bujinkan Ninjutsu, Hes also a Sensei 4th Dan in Judo and 3rd Dan in Aikido. You get high level training from a highly skilled and experienced instructor with several years of martial arts and teaching experience.
