Rockwood Summit High School is a modern facility located on an expansive campus in the southwest part of the Fenton area. The Rockwood School District considers Summit to be a student-centered college preparatory high school.
Rockwood Summit was recognized by Newsweek magazine as one of America's Top High Schools. It is home to the nationally recognized Renaissance program. The full-service high school is home to dozens of clubs and activities, fields a variety of sports teams and boasts a 77 percent pass rate on advanced placement exams.
Schools that feed into Rockwood Summit are Rockwood South Middle and Bowles, Kellison, Stanton and Uthoff Valley elementary schools. The high school's mascot is the falcon.
Hazelwood North Middle School is one of two middle schools in the Florissant area of the Hazelwood School District. North focuses on educating students to meet not only district standards, but also state and national standards.
St. Charles West is the newer of the St. Charles School District's two high schools, serving the west side of the city. The school's mascot is the warrior. Students have raised funds to build an outdoor amphitheater complete with benches, picnic tables and a stage.
Rogers Middle School is located on Mackenzie, just south of Chippewa. With advanced smart boards in many of the classrooms, teachers and faculty create a positive learning environment for Affton students, including English language learners. Along with housing the district's 6th, 7th and 8th grades, the school also hosts monthly school board meetings.
