Operational since 1974, Lake Region Christian School, formerly known as Accelerated Christian School serves students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12. The school features a music room, library, gymnasium, classrooms and offices. Its staff offers Bible lessons, as well as classes in music, physical education and drama. The school also provides Spanish lessons through the computer-based Rosetta Stone program. Lake Region Christian School s curriculum includes various subjects, including phonics, mathematics, language arts, history, science, and health. It offers facilities for volleyball, basketball and soccer. It additionally provides before- and after-school care, lunch and summer programs. The school maintains a learning center that offers individualized assistance with certain subjects. Located in Baxter, Minn., Lake Region Christian School is a ministry of First Baptist Church.
