Established in 1997, Bleckley County Elementary is a learning institution that offers educational services to students in grades three through five. Its curriculum includes various subjects, such as English, math, science and social studies. The elementary school maintains a media center that stocks newsletters, reference materials and books on various subjects. Bleckley County Elementary also provides transportation and food services for students, as well as operates a school council. It is governed by Bleckley County Schools, which is a school district that manages several elementary, middle and high schools. The district provides education to students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12.

Middle Georgia State is a regionally focused university serving 7,400+ traditional and adult students, the majority of whom live and work in the heart of the state. The University remains one of the state’s best values in public higher education; a student can earn a bachelor’s degree at here for about $20,000. The University offers graduate and undergraduate programs leading to in-demand careers in IT, nursing, education, aviation, business, new media and more. The University’s graduate programs include a fully online master’s in information technology and a master’s in nursing with emphasis on adult/gerontology acute care, as well as programs in management and secondary education. Middle Georgia State’s five campuses ¦ Macon, Cochran, Dublin, Eastman and Warner Robins ¦ are strategically located with broad reach, plus the University has numerous online and hybrid learning opportunities. The University’s experiential learning program, Experiential Learning@MGA, allows students to bridge the gap between classroom and career through internships with local organizations, innovative research opportunities and impactful service in the community. At Middle Georgia State, students will find small classes, dedicated professors, campus organizations (service, social and academic), Greek life and NAIA athletics. Student housing is available at the Macon, Cochran and Eastman locations or students can commute to any of the five campuses. The Macon Campus is located off I-475, about an hour’s drive from Atlanta. The mid-state community has a vibrant business climate and downtown that embraces music, film and the arts. The Cochran Campus has a special appeal to freshmen, who will find strong academic support including tutoring/mentoring programs and smaller class sizes. Not far from I-16, the residential campus is where the University’s varsity athletics and Greek life are based. The Dublin Campus, near I-16, extends the reach of the University into Laurens County and surrounding communities and offers specific bachelor and associate degree programs, including the associate of science in nursing. The Eastman Campus, the hub of Georgia’s only public 4-year aviation school, is home to the Heart of Georgia Regional Airport. Aviation industry-serving programs include professional flight, airport management, aviation maintenance technology, air traffic management, Iogistics and aircraft structural technology. In a recent expansion, the School of Aviation established its first satellite location at the Herbert Smart/Macon Downtown Airport. Flight instruction is available at the Eastman and Macon locations. The Warner Robins Campus, located a half mile from Robin Air Force Base, is home to the Office of Graduate Studies and features a new STEM wing with state-of-the-art labs. Middle Georgia State’s two dual enrollment programs. The Georgia Academy is a residential program designed so that academically gifted students can earn high school diplomas from their home high schools and associate’s degrees from the University simultaneously. The University also has a dual enrollment program for qualified Georgia students who want to earn college credit while completing their high school requirements. The students, who live at home and commute, may attend fall, spring and/or summer semesters.
