Eagle River High School is a college preparatory school that offers academic classes to more than 800 students in grades 9 through 12. It organizes various academic activities, such as student government fall conference, world language declamation, all-state art exhibition and forensics competition. The school offers various sporting events that include bowling, hockey, wrestling, basketball, skiing, cheerleading, volleyball, swimming and cross country. It has a guidance and counseling department that provides basic assistance to students regarding scholarships, career planning, and social and mental problems. The school offers educational classes in music, English, history, foreign languages, math, science, art, social studies, health and physical education. Eagle River High School is a part of the Anchorage School District and is located in Eagle River, Alaska.
