Crystal Matrix is an alternative health and wellness center which uses spiritual ways of healing such as crystal therapy, Reiki healing and regression integration. It holds classes and clinics on alternative methods and has a full store and an online store for all herbs and other alternative medicines. The center is run by Asheme Patricia Bankins.
The James J. McBride Special Education Center is an LAUSD public school that caters to students with disabilities between the ages of 3 and 22.

California Children Services (CCS) therapists provide physical and occupational therapy for eligible students, and local elementary school students in the area join with McBride's students for educational and recreational activities as part of an ongoing interaction program.
