Tobinworld is a nonprofit school for children and young adults with behavior disorders, such as emotional, autistic and developmental. It offers a variety of programs to students between the ages of five through 22 years. Its program philosophy integrates special education to individuals with behavioral psychology, and it carries out an individual behavior and academic programs for each student. Tobinworld is certified by the California Department of Education and operates from two locations, including Glendale and Brentwood, Calif. Its offers community-based instruction programs to lower-functioning students. It emphasizes on self-sufficiency skills such as money and budget management, personal maintenance, personal safety, academics, vocational education, recreation and utilization of public transportation. The school provides life skills program course that focuses on basic survival skills, such as community awareness and personal safety. Tobinworld provides programs that are designed specifically for each student based on their needs, interests and abilities.
