Christian Academy of Knoxville was established in 1977 and provides elementary, middle and high school academic and religious educational programs. The academy is located in Knoxville, Tenn., and is accredited by the Southern Association of Christian Schools and the Association of Christian Schools International. Christian Academy serves students in grades kindergarten through 12. The academy s high school curriculum includes English, mathematics, visual and performing arts, science, social studies, and foreign languages with a choice in French and Spanish. Additionally, its high school provides courses in United States history and law, computer applications, Web design, government, economics, psychology. Christian Academy also provides advanced-placement courses in English, calculus and statistics. It additionally offers religious education that includes Bible study classes comprising the Old Testament and the New Testament. The academy also organizes various extracurricular activities, such as choir, theater, band and Christmas concerts. Its high school provides various sports activities for its students, such as baseball, basketball, football, cross country, swimming and tennis.
