The Literacy Council of Northern Virginia specializes in helping people learn to read. The Falls Church location offers classes, tutoring and a library stocked with books geared toward helping learn the fundamentals of reading.

Students at the University of Virginia Northern Virginia Center can earn a Bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies or a Master's degree in education with emphasis in mathematics, reading education, administration and social foundations of education.
