Housed in a beautiful blue building on 9th street dating back to 1850, Slope Music School is a small, private music school offering lessons to all levels of students in Park Slope. Vita and Charles Sibirsky started the school in 1981 and have been teaching the community to play since then. The seven teachers at the school often play in the community as well. They can be seen at the Old Stone House, the local library, and various jazz clubs around town. Classes are held one on one in the different and beautiful studios in the school and are offered to adults and children.

Founded in 1971, The Putnam Child Development Center is a part of the New York Child Resource Center, Inc., and provides Early Intervention Program (EIP) services for children, ages newborn to 3 years old. EIP is a public program for special needs children who are either suspected of having or at risk for developmental delays or disabilities.
