The Harford Center is a vocational day program and workshop for students over age 21 with severe disabilities. Since 1961, the center has been serving students with deafness, autism, behavioural problems, visual impairments, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, head injury, speech disabilities and learning disabilities. The center offers workshops that aim to help these students in their personal growth and development.
Situated on 13 hilltop acres, Meadowvale Elementary serves the outskirts of town including Grace Harbor and Bayview Estates. Meadowvale underwent major renovations in 2000. Principal Blaine Hawley and assistant principal Karen Jankowiak oversee a faculty of 42 at a school with a capacity of 568 students.
