United Open Bible Missions is a place of worship located in western Skokie. UOBM is an offshoot of the Pentecostal church and was begun in the early 1930s. Some of the hallmarks of the faith include a belief in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, with speaking in tongues being a manifestation of that gift.

Gymboree Play and Music, located within the Old Orchard Shopping Plaza, emphasizes healthy social and intellectual development in children by offering a multitude of both family and child-independent classes. They typically involve art, music or sports. There are also parent-toddler "play and learn" classes designed for children in their first three years of life. In addition, Gymboree offers a child-independent "school skills" class suitable for children 3 to 5 years of age. Prices vary depending upon the type, length and duration of the class. Everest College, part of the for-profit network of Corinthian Colleges, has been preparing post-grads for professional careers since 1995. With a focus on formal job training, Everest makes an effort to provide instructors with real world experience. On the Skokie campus, students can train in dentistry, medical billing and other aspects of medical administration.

For more than 60 years, Arie Crown Hebrew Day School has been providing quality general and Jewish studies education for Chicago area youth, instilling within them a strong sense of Jewish pride. Graduates often go on to attend quality Jewish high schools, universities and yeshivot around the world. Arie Crown provides education from early childhood to grade eight.
American Metro Institute and Services is a computer and job training facility in western Skokie. Dedicated to increasing job skills, the facility's clients come here to update or gain computer skills. Though AMIS doesn't award any degrees, those who train here say the training does a good deal to keep them up-to-date on changing technology in the workplace.
Monnacep Adult Education is an evening school for adults offering continuing education courses. Located in southwestern Skokie, a variety of services are offered for adults here, from GEDs to general studies to arts-related programs.
Gan Yeladim is a Jewish early childhood program for children ages 2 to 5. The school offers both an all inclusive daycare program and half-day programs. Gan Yeladim places emphasis on understanding and meeting the needs of the young child in a warm, nurturing and Jewish environment, where trust and positive self-esteem are fostered. Judaism is integrated into the overall curriculum, and the school is committed to instilling a strong sense of Jewish identity in the children it teaches.
For nearly 110 years, the Skokie School District has existed in one form or another. Its mission now is the same as it was then: to educate the youth of Skokie and what was then Glenview and Evanston. During the course of the school district's history, it has overseen the construction of nearly 15 schools. In 2007, the district offices moved to their current location.

Devonshire Cultural Center is a facility providing everything from a preschool program, private music lessons, children’s theatre, dance, culinary and visual arts classes to enrichment programs and performing arts camps. Its facility also houses the Skokie Art Guild and Devonshire Community Playhouse. It is also available to host birthday parties.
One of three Solomon Schecter Day Schools in Chicago, Solomon Schecter Day School in Skokie serves children in kindergarten through to the fifth grade. It focuses on teaching the practice of conservative Judaism and works with the community's rabbis, synagogues and youth organizations to achieve its goals.

The actual school is located across the parking lot of Skokie's historic St. Peter's Catholic Church, a beautiful church located in downtown Skokie.
Owned by Andrea and Dan Horyn, Bughouse Studio is an art space. The studio offers a variety of programs for students of all ages, exploring painting, drawing, pottery, fused glass and more. Madison Skokie School District 69 is the name given to the governing body that oversees a number of schools in Skokie and Morton Grove. The website provides an array of functions, such as the ability to make payments online and community resources information. Additionally, the district practices transparency with the help of technology, posting notes from meetings online as well as offering a frequently updated Twitter feed. The District includes TOPS Preschool, Edison Elementary School, Madison Elementary School and Lincoln Jr. High School.
Cheder Lubavitch Hebrew Day School was founded in 1979 with only five students. It now offers separate programs for boys and girls between pre-kindergarten and 8th grade. All Jewish children are welcome and scholarships are available.
Monnacep Adult Education is located at Niles High Cchool. They offer night classes, which are ideal for working adults. The school also offers services in Junior Colleges and Technical Institutes.
Rhodes Magnet School doesn't kid around when it comes to community. You hear it from the staff, the kids and the parents. It's even embedded in their online mission statement: "We all know each other. We help each other out. Students, staff and families pitch in. Older students have a responsibility for younger kids. We want every child to reach his/her personal best. We recognize that each child has a special gift. Every child will be encouraged to reach his/her potential. Since becoming a magnet school in 2004, Rhodes has been helping its students reach new heights of community and personal responsibility, as well as pushing their academic skills to the limit.
CCEA Chinese Language School is a part of the Chinese Cultural and Educational Association. This school is the oldest Chinese language school outside of Chinatown in the area. The school offers sixteen language classes as well as a number of cultural classes in dance, arts and crafts, and calligraphy, as well as many others.
Since 1921, Hebrew Theological College (HTC) has ordained hundreds of rabbis who have served as rabbis, chaplains and educators in the US, Canada, Israel and throughout the world. The college was formerly on the west side of Chicago, but in 1958, a new classroom and administration building was completed in suburban Skokie and operations in the new location began at once. To this day, the goal of encouraging each student to pursue general knowledge, while providing the best Judaic Studies program possible is the aim of the HTC.
