For nearly 110 years, the Skokie School District has existed in one form or another. Its mission now is the same as it was then: to educate the youth of Skokie and what was then Glenview and Evanston. During the course of the school district's history, it has overseen the construction of nearly 15 schools. In 2007, the district offices moved to their current location.

Madison Skokie School District 69 is the name given to the governing body that oversees a number of schools in Skokie and Morton Grove. Rhodes Magnet School doesn't kid around when it comes to community. You hear it from the staff, the kids and the parents. Since 1921, Hebrew Theological College (HTC) has ordained hundreds of rabbis who have served as rabbis, chaplains and educators in the US, Canada, Israel and throughout the world. The college was formerly on the west side of Chicago, but in 1958, a new classroom and administration building was completed in suburban Skokie and operations in the new location began at once. To this day, the goal of encouraging each student to pursue general knowledge, while providing the best Judaic Studies program possible is the aim of the HTC.
