The Sunshine House provides specialized education programs for children who are between the ages of six weeks and 12 years. The curriculum is centered around the individual child, and the classrooms and playgrounds emphasize security, safety and cleanliness. The school has been operating for the last 35 years.

Within the Tucker driving school facility, Taggart's offers a DUI, alcohol or drug risk reduction program that is licensed by the Department of Driver Services. This class, along with an assessment, is required to restore driving privileges after a suspension.
Livsey Elementary has its own wildlife habitat and a horticultural courtyard. Founded in 1971, the school encourages community involvement and is an annual participant in Hands On Atlanta.
Kingfisher Academy is a school that uses small classes and family-friendly philosophies to encourage students to achieve excellence in education. It is an independent, non-profit private school. Students are encouraged to participate in community service activities such as neighborhood clean-ups, planting trees and collecting food for the local Food Bank.
Idlewood Elementary School is a Title 1 Distinguished School and has received a Governor's Award. The principal is Pat Carter, and her school was founded 43 years ago.
Idlewood Elementary School has a number of special programs including the Jump Into Reading program where students are encouraged to read as soon as they enroll. It also has an after school tutorial program, a Dr. Seuss appreciation day and more.
