Santa Monica Tutoring Club offers private and group tutoring classes for students in kindergarten through 12th grade. Classes are designed to enrich and intrigue children so that they will embrace reading, math and learning in general. There is a check-in area and a large classroom where students study with tutors. Santa Monica Tutoring's goal is to reduce stress and build confidence by creating an individualized program for each student, starting at a level that he or she can handle and then progressing through the grade levels as rapidly as the student's learning pace allows. Concord High School is a nonprofit college preparatory school. The school offers small classes and does not impose a tracking system. Graduation requirements are based on the "A-G" entrance requirements used by the University of California. Requirements for graduation include two years of college preparatory elective courses, four years of English, two years of foreign languages, two years of history/social science, two years of laboratory science, three years of mathematics and one year of visual and performing arts. Students wishing to apply should do so in the late fall or early winter the year prior. A minimum C+ average is required and must be maintained in order for students to stay enrolled at Concord High School.
This flight school also serves as a social hub of the general aviation community at the Santa Monica Airport. Since 1991, it has created a flight school that provides the highest quality training, instructors and equipment.
Emperor's College is an institution that seeks to advance the art and science of Asian medicine. In 1989, Emperor's College became the third national Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine institution to achieve national accreditation.
The school, which one of the largest acupuncture clinics in the U.S., offers masters degrees in traditional Oriental medicine, a doctoral program (which began in 2004) for advanced clinical training in orthopedics and internal medicine and massage-certificate programs. It also features a community clinic and continuing-education seminars.
