The Actors Atelier is a studio for actors who wish to be, or are involved with the film, stage and television industry. Classes vary in size and a faculty of 15 teachers conduct workshops and courses at this facility. The staff is alumnus of the entertainment industry and each specializes in specific techniques, such as: scene study, audition techniques and one for the stage and Never Fear Shakespeare. Actors Atelier is located in the heart of the Universal Studios lot.
Roy Romer Middle School educates children and prepares them for high school. The middle school offers a comprehensive curriculum of math, English, science, social studies, physical education, computers and art. The school also offers children a music program.
The Actors Workout Studio is located in the heart of the Universal Studios Lot and the numerous entertainment production companies that create film and television programs. It is run by actor's coach, Fran Montano, who has performed in dozens of stage productions, television and films. Montano is also a director and producer of stage and television. It is an environment for the beginning or professional actor. Classes at the studio include: scene building, cold reading, improvisation and on-camera scene study. Montano is a disciple of the Meisner Technique, a popular form of acting training and teachings. Classes are small and cater to each student's needs.
James Madison Middle School is located on Hart Street in North Hollywood. The school is part of the Los Angeles Unified School District and operates grades 6 - 8. Inside the front door of the Bartender's Training Institute sits what appears to be a fully functioning bar. But don't pull up a stool just yet - this bar is just for practice. This institute trains aspiring bartenders to become licensed professionals. Students sit on the "customer" side to study the basics of the bartending trade during classes, and eventually transition to the "pros-only" backside of the bar to try their hands at the job. It's a fun environment, but serious learning does occur. BTI offers free introductory classes, making it risk-free to determine if the school is a match for a given student's needs. East Valley High School opened in 2006 and walked its first graduating class in 2009. Named because it is located in the eastern half of North Hollywood, the campus and buildings have a very modern feel and still look fresh and new.

Popular with actors and the business community, Sam Christensen Studios' programs feature custom-developed coursework individually tailored to each student. The Young Actor's Studio is located on the 2nd floor of the 5217 building along Lankershim Boulevard. It features classes for kids ages 4-18, as well as adult workshops and more. The space is divided into 2 studios, each with various spaces used for acting classes.
Previous students have included Shia LeBeouf, Scarlett Johansson and Samantha Mahurin. The school primarily focuses on enhancing and molding the talents of young actors through performance and training. The instructors are all professionals at their craft and are highly experienced. Berman Ceramic Arts offers pottery and sculpture classes for beginning, intermediate and advanced students who create hand-built and wheel thrown pottery, abstract and figurative sculpture in classes five days a week. Berman offerings include firing ceramics for the public, private individual and group instruction, monthly studio space rental, student field trips, group gallery exhibitions, workshops and annual student pottery sale.
Allstate Driving & Traffic School has more than 10 years of teaching driving and traffic to students. It offers a student-oriented classroom atmosphere led by knowledgeable and friendly teachers. The school offers traffic school, driving education programs and driving school. Classes are available in English and Spanish. It also offers Adult Special Classes, free home pick-up, DMV certified instructors, DMV test cars and teen training. Parking is available on the lot and on the streets.
Joyce's Toluca Lake Preschool and Kindergarten provides preschool enrichment classes to children aged two to five. The program is offered year-round and the curriculum is designed to help children develop socially, emotionally and intellectually and includes having children express themselves through art, music, dance, literature and science. The program is offered for full-time and part-time students and includes snacks, lunch and nap time. Extended care is provided until 6pm for working parents.
The Academy of New Musical Theatre is a theater company and teaching facility that opened its doors in 1971. It is located on Lankershim Boulevard near Collins. Its goal as a creative entity is to create new musicals. Professional writers, producers, composers and actors work together to bring new musicals to fruition and subsequently onto the stages of Los Angeles. It offers concert readings, festivals and arts conferences throughout the year. As an academy, it also acts as a higher learning facility, offering professional programs of study to writers, composers and actors alike. Rehearsal space is available for rent as well.
