The Little Anchor is an online resource designed to bring hope to those impacted by special needs. It was launched in 2014, by the Little Light House, a Christian development center in Tulsa, Oklahoma for children with special needs ages birth to six. The LLH typically has over 160 children on the waiting list to get into the school. Hence, the LLH staff felt an urgency to reach out to the special needs community. The LLH staff searched for a new way to help the special needs community. They soon realized that many families, professionals and students come into the Little Light House with little expectation for what special needs children can accomplish. The staff at the Little Light House wanted to do something that could prove that each and every child has potential; and thus, The Little Anchor was born.

Our advocates have over 30 years combined experience in disability rights advocacy. All of our staff either have disabilities and/or have immediate family members with disabilities. Hiring an advocate is never a poor reflection on your own abilities. Disability-related laws and processes can be complex and overwhelming. Additionally, advocating on behalf of a loved one can be very emotional. Many private advocates, attorneys and consultants charge between $100 and $300 an hour. Our rates range from $15 to $65 an hour depending on where you live, family size, and income. We offer flexible payment schedules, and can also bill third party sources in some cases.
