Moorhead Area Public Schools serves more than 5,300 students in grades kindergarten through 12. It provides educational, social and recreational opportunities for learners of all ages. Its early intervention services provide special education to children up to age five. The district operates a community education program that offers more than 1,000 enrichment courses. Located in Moorhead, Minn., the district covers an area of more than 215 square miles and includes the cities of Georgetown, Moorhead and Sabin. It offers an Internet and e-mail access in classrooms. It also offers advanced-placement courses and post-secondary options. The district consists of several departments, such as human resources, information systems and learner support services. Its business services department supervises buildings and grounds maintenance, transportation, food service, construction projects, and the sale and leasing of district property.
