Pinconning Area School District has its office located in Pinconning, Mich. The scool district was organized in the early 1900s and covers more than 250 square miles, and operates under a superintendent and an elected school board. It is a six-school district, comprising of three elementary, a middle, high and a special school that offers individualized instruction program for students grades seven through 12 who are functioning below their grade level. The schools offer classes from grades kindergarten through 12 and their total enrollment is more than 600 students. All schools are regionally accredited by the North Central Association of Schools and Colleges. Its courses follow the requirements of the state education board and core subjects include English language arts, science, computer studies, social science and mathematics. There is an emphasis on technology and it provides Internet access to all classrooms, and has a comprehensive technical development program for staff.
