For Mike Cloutier, President of Cut Technologies, the success of his company has been a lifetime in the making. His father Louis Cloutier, was head filer for a Canadian Forest Products Ltd shake and shingle mill near Vancouver, in southwest British Columbia, and at 18 years old, the younger Cloutier also chose the saw filing room as the path to a bright future. His apprenticeship provided him with a solid back-ground in saw filing, but an entrepreneurial spirit led him to purchasing a small saw shop in Bellingham, WA in 1995. Today Cut Technologies has four operations in two U.S. states and two in Canadian provinces. Its goal of becoming a full service provider to the filing room is now being realized. Cut Technologies range of products and equipment ( from the COUGAR XX highly productive saws to the Vollmer and MVM state-of-the art grinding and sharpening equipment and Kahny Brazing machines ) will keep operating costs and downtime of the filing room to a minimum which means BIG savings to you! Mike is passionate about his saw business displaying a contagious enthusiasm for quality, innovation and customer service which is built into every saw. As Mike says, If something isnt right with one of our saws, we dont try to fix it and then send it out, it goes straight to the recycling bin and we start again!
