In 1959, three brothers began the business known as Teague Brothers Sand & Gravel. They are listed above from eldest to youngest. Each brought their own unique talents to pursue their dream. The sand & gravel company steadily grew with their expertise in various areas. As years went by, Edgar chose to retire from public employment. In 1963, Earl & Fred purchased their brothers share. For the next 10 years, they strived for growth & improvement with Fred serving as president & Earl the secretary/treasurer.Illness became a detriment for Fred in 1973 & forced him to retire from the company. The business was well established & that made his necessary decision a much easier one. At that point, Earl became the sole owner of the sand & gravel dredging company. His son, G.L. accepted the office as president of the familys business. Having worked there for many years, the transition was a natural one.The year 1979 came to a close with the era of the founding fathers. Earls failed health & passing ended the "Teague Brothers" original partnering. From that point, G.L. inherited the operation of the company. With his leadership it remains a family owned & operated company.
