Berwick Offray is the worlds largest manufacturer and distributor of decorative ribbons and bows. The company s original manufactured ribbon was a non-woven product known as Satinette. Berwick Offray later developed an all-plastic ribbon called Splendorette, that is still widely used for decorative packaging in the United States and many foreign countries. Splendorette is marketed for retail sales through leading mass merchandisers, chain and variety stores, and through wholesale outlets for the packaging, floral and craft trades. Founded in 1945 as a family-owned business, Berwick Offray is located in Berwick, Pa. on the Susquehanna River. The company has extensive product lines in several distribution channels. Berwick Offray currently has seven divisions including Christmas Retail, Trim Time Retail, Everyday Retail, Craft Retail, Floral Wholesale, Packaging Wholesale and Custom. Berwick was acquired by CSS Industries, a publicly owned company. CSS also owns The Paper Magic Group, which has headquarters in Scranton, Pa., and Minneapolis, Minn. and Cleo, located in Memphis, Tenn.
