Tucson Newspapers, Inc. was formed in 1940 with a joint operation agreement between the Tucson Citizen and the Arizona Daily Star. Each newspaper maintains editorial independence, while all production facilities and advertising, marketing, circulation, finance, information technology and human resources departments are shared. Together the newspapers represent a daily readership of more than 270,000 and a Sunday readership of more than 380,000. Tuscon Newspapers is headquartered in Tucson, Ariz.
