International School of Brooklyn provides French and Spanish immersion for elementary school students throughout the New York City area. The preschool program provides instruction in the target language, with the elementary classes split between English and the target langauge.

St. Joseph's was founded as a liberal arts college for women at the turn of the 20th century. In 1970, the school began admitting male students and soon established another campus in Suffolk County. The Brooklyn campus has a student body of roughly 1,500, and the college offers more than 20 undergraduate majors.
