Located in Framingham, Mass., Walden School is a learning center for deaf children. The school provides various academic programs to maximize the personal, educational, social, communicative and vocational skills of students. The school s facilities include a library, gymnasium, auditorium, maintenance workshop, industrial and fine arts facilities, and speech, audiology and therapeutic units. Its high school s academic curriculum comprises work-study and vocational programs. The school s Special Needs program offers learning environment for deaf students with cognitive and behavioral disabilities. It also provides a dual language program for students with cochlear implants. Walden School additionally operates preschool, kindergarten, and elementary and middle schools.
