This private day school for grades 9 - 12 prides itself on high level courses designed for independent, motivated students who want to learn. Literary analysis is stressed in a Commonwealth education, in order to give students a deep understanding of how to write and read effectively. Students regularly participate in community service projects at locations down the street and around the world. The school was founded in 1957, and has a historic, homely feel. With much of the original woodwork still in tact, student artwork decorating the walls and a computer lab with a fireplace, it's as much a school as it is community for the 150 students who attend from across greater Boston.
