Barton Junior High School is a part of the El Dorado School District. The school has a library and media center that provides a variety of study materials to enhance the curriculum, as well as the learning needs and styles of all students. Barton Junior High School offers educational and extracurricular programs to students in grades seven and eight. The school provides academic instruction in language arts, math, science, social studies, art, music, reading and computer technology. In addition, Barton Junior High School has the English as a Second Language department that provides classes to non-English speaking students. The school has a team of guidance counselors who address academic, personal, social and career development needs of students. Barton Junior High School also offers advanced placement programs in statistics, computer science, biology, chemistry, physics, astronomy, aquatic science and environmental systems. The school is located in El Dorado, Ark.
