Open Life is just over 2 years old. In just a short amount of time we've grown from under 15 people to over 80. Our vision is to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus. We know that going to a new place can be intimidating and scary, kinda like a first date, but don’t worry, there’s tons of people who are new here and are experiencing the same emotions you are. The Bonney Lake Church of the Nazarene is an evangelical Christian church. There are many opportunities for men, women and children for classes and ministry in the congregation. It offers summer camps and vacation Bible school for young children, ages preschool through sixth grade.
Oscar "Doc" Bowen donated the land for the original Church of the Nazarene in 1935 when he saw the community's need for a gathering place for worship. Its original location was across the street from the current church.
The Trinity Lutheran Church, located just off State Route 169 on Porter St., serves a congregation of about 180 people in Enumclaw. In addition to worship, members engage in community involvement and volunteerism through a variety of outreach efforts such as the Plateau Outreach Ministries in Enumclaw. Trinity Lutheran also operates Trinity Lutheran Preschool, which is located off-site.
The Islamic Center of Tacoma welcomes people to its place of worship and gathering of Allah. The center is located in the University Place-Tacoma border. It also operates a school.
University Place Presbyterian Church's roots stretch back to the 1920s, when it began as a Sunday school on nearby Day Island. By the mid-1940s, the school had moved to its current location and efforts to establish a full church had begun. Over the years, the church has grown to accommodate its expanding congregation. Today, it features a sanctuary, kitchen, education space, pipe organ, food bank, gymnasium, youth room, café and more. The church's buildings blanket 75,000 square feet across 5.5-acres, and it is large enough to welcome its 1,400 members. The senior pastor and teaching elder is Reverend Patrick Wrisley; the associate pastor of spiritual formation is Reverend Taeler Morgan.
Eastside Christian Fellowship is about community. It has weekly sermons, adult and kids classes and communion. Once a month there's a meet and greet in between worship and teaching. Pastor Dave Parker leads services Sundays 10am at Rose Hill Junior High at 13505 NE 75th Street. Enter through the main entrance and you will be greeted by a church member, take a left and enter the worship center. Weekly Bible study groups are held at the Eastside Christian Fellowship main location.
Ronald United Methodist Church is in the heart of Shoreline since 1925 and continues to be admired as the "solid rock" of an ever changing community. The churchs' mission is to serve God, neighbors and to live and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through worship.
Sundays
- 9 a.m. to noon for families.
- 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for single adults ages 18-30.
Mondays
- 7 to 9 p.m.
Wednesdays
- 7 to 8:30 p.m. for youths and cubscouts.
Seattle Baptist Church is headed by Pastor Cox. The church features adult Bible studies, a K-12 school and weekly services. The newly built structure is large and welcoming and there's ample parking in the lot.
Redmond Assembly of God is a Christian church associated with the Assembly of God (USA). The Assembly of God was founded out of the Pentecostal movement with the core values of evangelism and mission work. Members believe in salvation from sin through Jesus, two sacraments (baptism and communion), physical representation of salvation through speaking in tongues and follow a mission to save the sinful.
The Redmond Assembly of God is housed in a large building that hosts activities beyond worship. In addition to several active missions, it holds men's and women's life groups and impact classes that combine daily living with church life such as Financial Peace University and Wholly Fit. There is a nursery and Sunday school for children in addition to Epic, a weekly program for students. The building also houses the Little Folks School Pre-K and before and after school activities and care.
