Immanuel Lutheran Church, which celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2009, is a member of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. The church offers several worship services on Sundays, including a contemporary service featuring live music that is held in a nearby movie theater. Immanuel's goal is to be a 24/7 church that is extremely active in outreach. It participates in the DuPage Public Action to Deliver Shelter (PADS) program and has operated a food pantry at the church for more than 20 years. It also operates the Immanuel Lutheran preschool on site.
St. Paul's United Church of Christ is a Protestant Church led by Rev. Kirk Moore. The church offers many programs such as Vacation Bible School, youth groups, adult studies and a church library.

There is also a Wednesday evening prayer service and Bible study at 7pm. The church offers youth and ministry/outreach programs for its members. Founded by immigrants from Gostyn, Poland, following the Civil War, St. Mary's is the oldest Catholic church in Downers Grove. The current building, completed in 1964, stands in the vicinity of the first wooden church built by parishioners in the 1890s. Today the church is the spiritual home of 3,000 families who participate in a range of programs, including prayer groups, pro-life activities, and peace and social justice ministries. St. Mary's parishioners also enjoy access to a children's education garden, which includes a contemplative space.
The Downers Grove Community Church is affiliated with the congregation of the Reformed Church of America. The Sunday worship service is held at 9:30am, with child care offered from 9:15am - noon. Belmont Bible Church offers Sunday school for children at 9:45 a.m. as well as Sunday worship services at 11:00 a.m. There is also a Prayer Breakfast the first Saturday of every month at 7:30 a.m. and Youth Group which meets Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. The congregation at Belmont Bible Church is led by Pastor Moore.
