Initially funded by fast food chain McDonald's and now part of the Coinstar operation, Redbox has become a staple for DVD rentals, springing up at grocery stores, drug stores and fast food restaurants. The Redbox at Krogers at Beaver Ruin Village is located outside the store providing customers 24-hour access. The company's self-service vending kiosk offers $1/night rentals through an interactive touch screen and sign, a robotic disk array system and web-linked electronic communications to provide up to 600 movie options for the customer. Typically, 70 to 200 movie titles are available weekly.
