The Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center will be undergoing exterior renovations during the summer of 2010, but the building will remain open for programs. The Community Hall is available for meetings, special events and parties. The game room has a pool table, computers, books and a variety of games. The center is home to Early Childhood programs and the New Horizons senior program.
As locals know, the Barn Recreation Center is one of the main locations for park district programs, particularly for recreation and preschool programs. The facility's main floor and four classrooms may be rented for meetings, parties or special events. Contact the Community Relations Department for rental information.
Lee Nendza, the current owner, has kept the shop named Andys Pro Shop because of its well known name and reputation.

With three indoor sports fields, two volleyball courts, a basketball court and training areas, Players Indoor Sports Center provides an indoor facility for soccer, lacrosse, hockey and baseball players. Though focused on indoor soccer tournaments and camps, Players Indoor also has camps for lacrosse and hockey, as well as baseball clinics. Members are required to sign up for at least one program or league hosted by Players Indoors.
