The Y M C A on Hoke Drive is a before and after-school program. Open year-round and during school breaks, Y-Kids School Age Child Development program is an enriching and caring form of assistance for working parents. Offering support in science, English, math, visual and performing arts, and physical education by striving to instill self-esteem in students, it has been serviving the community for 16 years. Shaw London Ward is the director of both Pinole Valley and this location.
Pinole Tiny Tots is a preschool operated by Pinole's recreation department. It has been in business since the 1960s. Students are registered on a space-available basis. They must be toilet trained and have proof of immunization. The school year is from September to early June. Coursework includes art, crafts, music, reading and math.
Fees range from $79 to $200 monthly, depending on the enrollment terms. Residents are granted discounts. A non-refundable $35 fee is required at the time of registration.
