The Art Theatre of Long Beach is a unique and historic independent movie theater. Originally constructed in 1924, the restored theater retains its golden age of cinema character. It is a single-screen theater that features artful independent films difficult to find elsewhere. The comfortable theater also offers a wine bar and coffee bar.
The Long Beach Bridge Center hosts a bridge club. Here, interested parties may learn and partake in competitive bridge playing. The site is managed by Brandon Sheumaker.
The Long Beach Senior Citizens Center is a place for meetings, programs and classes for city adult residents ages 50 and above. The center features a fitness room, cafe, dining room, Philippine-American Senior Civic Center Club, Latino Club, Title V Senior Training Program and clinic. Classes and programs include arts, crochet, dancing, wood carving, computer classes, cooking, aerobics, Tai Chi, flu clinic and others.
