This organization is dedicated to supporting The Kensington Library. Members volunteer at the library, provide children's and cultural programs and raise money that helps to pay for more than half of the books.
This is the West Branch of the Berkeley Public Library system. It offers a wide selection of fiction and non-fiction books, and has a special section devoted to children. The library also has a particularly large Spanish and Chinese language collection, as well as an assortment of Latino, African American, and Asian books. In addition, it offers the Lawyers in the Library service at this location, as well as the Berkeley Reads literacy program.
The Claremont branch of the Berkeley Public Library offers thousands of fiction and non-fiction books, a particularly large collection of mystery novels and travel guides, as well as numerous magazines and newspapers. A public meeting room is available to local residents for small gatherings. Numerous events are held each week, including children’s story time.
The North Branch of the Berkeley Public Library offers a huge selection books in many genres, as well as a special area set aside for teenagers. This branch also has a substantial classical music section. In addition, there is a self-checkout machine for added convenience.
