Welcome to   Creative Care has provided innovative clinical excellence to dual diagnosis and primary mental health populations for decades. Founded in 1989, Creative Care is owned and operated by the Khaleghi Family. Since established, Creative Care has evolved with two programs, and four locations, in the greater Los Angeles areas of Calabasas, Woodland Hills, and Malibu, California. Creative Care provides a complete range of treatment services to reach men, women, and families struggling with substance use, co-occurring and mental health disorders. Established and managed by clinicians and psychoanalysts Morteza Khaleghi, PhD, LMFT, and Karen Khaleghi, PhD, Creative Care’s mission is to understand early experiences and underlying causes that manifest mental health difficulties and addiction struggles throughout adulthood. The husband-and-wife team pioneered a dual diagnosis approach in the treatment of addiction and have dedicated their lives to caring for clients and their families. Each boutique facility provides an intimate, safe environment for detox, confronting attachment challenges, and building skills. At each luxury villa-like facility, the Creative Care team uses a biopsychosocial approach, a psychoanalytic frame, and evidence-based practices to get patients and their families on the road to recovery. With compassion, integrity, and spirituality, the clinicians implement individualized 24/7 treatment plans to assist resident patients in connecting the dots and improving their quality of life. That takes integrating the impact of historical traumas, understanding intricate interpersonal dynamics, and identifying mental health difficulties. Every patient receives a comprehensive assessment by Creative Care’s triple board-certified psychiatrist and seasoned clinicians, ensuring diagnostic accuracy through psychological evaluation, physical examinations, and clinical observation. The team treats the whole person with 12-step group programs, interventions, and other treatments completely tailored to each unique patient for the highest level of care. The Creative Care team believes in unearthing and understanding the core of each patient’s experiences, collaborating with them to target symptoms, achieve goals, and join them in their recovery journey.   DUAL DIAGNOSIS TREATMENT Program MENTAL HEALTH TREATMENT Program

Sometimes it may seem to others that the person who comes in for psychotherapy does not really need it. How can John need therapy He has everything: a great wife and children, he makes a nice enough living, he is good looking, and he always seems happy. Or, why would Mary ever need to go to a shrink She is happily married, she has a good job, has two wonderful children, etc, etc. Well, as we all know, outward appearances can be deceiving. Inside the perfect picture window that looks so happy and content often lies a very different story. If you knew John better, you would know that he came from a family where, if you did not rise to the very top of the corporate ladder by the time you were forty, you were considered a failure. Making $180,000 a year would be unheard of for most people, but within Johns frame of reference, believe it or not, he feels like a downright failure. And Mary, whose mother had been an abusive alcoholic her whole life until she died two years ago, is still wrestling with demons from her childhood that get in the way of her feeling like she deserves any modicum of happiness. So, appearances can be deceiving. On the other hand, there are people whose lives appear to be a train wreck even to the most distant observer. Bill has never held a job for more than six months, goes through relationships like there is no tomorrow, has a temper that can be triggered by the most innocuous of events, yet believes that all of his problems are inevitably caused by bad breaks, and others behaviors, never of his own making. It is always out there. Bill will likely never cross the threshold of a therapists office, unless dragged there by a desperately unhappy girlfriend, by a family member or friend, or in some cases because the court has sent him as part of his rehabilitation. And when he reluctantly walks in the door, his prognosis for real change is poor unless he can begin to see that he has played a role in his many years of mistakes,...

The focus of my work as a clinical psychologist is threefold: 1) I perform preoperative psychological evaluations for bariatric patients, 2) I provide mindful eating training and 3) mindfulness stress management training. Mindful eating has become a very useful practice for those who are interested in conquering their struggles with eating without the need to diet, feel deprived or exercise great will power. There is growing research which shows that there are a variety of benefits with daily mindful eating practices. Feel free to browse through my website to learn, in greater detail, how mindful eating and/or mindfulness stress management practices can be of help to you. Beverly Kune is a mind-body integrative therapist that supports the residents of Sante Fe, NM with a variety of healing processes and therapies. Body, Mind, Psyche, Spirit... all different aspects of Self and all important aspects to bring into balance and healing if we are to live our lives in the ways we wish to. Too often, the tendency in the therapeutic world is to compartmentalize parts of self rather than look at the whole, a rather lop-sided approach with only partial results. As a mind-body integrative therapist, I have acquired and developed many tools. I always work with the whole self, whether someone comes to see me for counseling, relational issues, trauma release or specialized body-work. I specialize in helping to shift old non-functional patterns of behavior and emotional response that negatively impact our sense of self and our relationship with others. Many of these patterns are trauma-based, and keep us from living our full potential. Old, stuck patterns also lock in our body causing chronic pain, tension, strain, imbalance and fatigue, as well as lowered levels of functioning in general. I work with specialized approaches such as Cranial-Sacral Therapy, Visceral and Neural Manipulation, Jin Shin Do, Kinesiology and other modalities. All these address both chronic and acute body issues caused through stress, injury, accident, medical trauma, or emotional blocks. Call me today and conquer your negative thinking. I also do phone sessions in addition to my office hours.

Is anxiety taking over your life? Do you find yourself overwhelmed by worry and stress, lying awake at night unable to make your mind stop racing from one anxious thought to the next —whether a relationship, situation, or a circumstance? Has the tightness in your stomach become so constant that it seems almost as natural as breathing? If the answer is "yes," maybe youve already decided to seek the help of a professional to control that anxiety and get back to living your life. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist specializing in the management of crippling anxiety. A natural empathy, deep understanding, and expertise have helped me achieve successful results for a broad range of individuals in the Morgan Hill/Gilroy area and I can help you achieve them too. I know that a certain degree of anxiety is something all of us experience at one time or another. Were concerned about issues at home or at work. A personal relationship has hit a rough patch. Your past is bothering you. A boss or co-worker is making a job you once enjoyed increasingly stressful and difficult. Sometimes were able to resolve these situations on our own, put them behind us, and move on. Its when we cant move on, when the issues seem insurmountable and fretting turns into full-blown panic--thats when we have a problem we arent able to resolve on our own. Thats when its time to seek help from a psychotherapist who has experience with anxiety management. Let me help you with your anxiety.
