Our physicians, nurse practitioners, and counselors along with our support staff, work together as a team to provide high quality medical care to the children in our community! We examine and treat children from birth through college graduation. Our physicians are members of the medical staff at Rockingham Memorial Hospital. They are board certified as Fellows of the American Academy of Pediatrics (F.A.A.P). A Board certified pediatrician focuses specifically on the medical needs of children. They have extensive medical education and experience in providing health care to children and adolescents. Our physicians are affiliated with the University of Virginia Department of Pediatrics and provide on site residency training. Nurse Practitioners are registered nurses with postgraduate education in health promotion, performing physical exams, diagnosing and treating minor illnesses, prescribing medications and nursing research. Hands on training with individual instructors is a major part of the educational experience. Our School Psychologist and Licensed Professional Counselor provide mental health and educational services as part of the practice at Harrisonburg Pediatrics. These providers are involved with the Educational and Counseling Center (ECC) working closely with the pediatricians to assess and treat patients dealing with issues such as ADHD, learning disorders, autism, anxiety, and depression. All of our physicians and nurse practitioners care for healthy children and adolescents performing physical exams and health counseling. They also diagnose and provide treatment for illness.
