Founded in 1974, Sumter Christian School provides educational programs to students in kindergarten through grade 12. The school maintains a staff of more than 14 full-time teachers that offers educational classes in English, geography, history, bible study, economics, geometry, algebra and science. Its curriculum also includes mathematics, physical education, foreign language and computer science. Sumter Christian School organizes various sports activities, such as basketball, volleyball, football, soccer, softball and baseball. The school also conducts classes in band for students in grades 5 through 12. It is accredited by the South Carolina Association of Christian Schools (SCACS).
