Asbury Nursery School is located on Scarsdale Road in the Asbury United Methodist Church education building. Although sponsored by the church, the school is non-denominational.
Children between the ages of 2 and 4 can attend the school, either during the morning or afternoon session. There are a variety of activities, including singing, reading, dancing, arts and crafts, games and outdoor and indoor play.
The director is certified in early childhood education.
The Woodlot Christian Preschool has been teaching children in the community for more than 40 years and recently moved into the Light & Life Korean United Methodist Church.
Children between the ages of two-and-three-quarters and 5 can attend the school either in the morning or afternoon or for full-day sessions. Programs include indoor and outdoor play, singing, dancing, music and storytelling, as well as language, literacy and number enrichment, among other activities.
Extended day is available, as is a before- and after-school program for kids from K through 5. This features sports and educational activities and runs until 6pm. There is also a summer camp for 3- to 11-year-old children.
