Nashoba Valley Children's Center is a preschool program for local three, four and five year-olds. The Center's staff of experienced educators offers pre-kindergarten and 'Afternoon Adventure' programs, promoting students' physical, social, emotional and cognitive development. The Acton Barn Cooperative Nursery School serves children from ages two years and nine months to five years. The morning class program gives parents a choice of two, three or four days of classes for their children. The afternoon provides a three-day program only. Its program is designed to enhance children's social, emotional, educational and physical growth, through a combination of parent and staff cohesiveness. Parents get involved at the school; for example, everyday, there are two to three parents who help out at the barn.
The Acton Cooperative School is a preschool offered for children from 2 years, 10 months to pre-kindergarten. Teachers and parents work together to help children develop socially, physically and mentally. The preschool is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
The Mt. Calvary Christian School offers a variety of religious programs for various age groups of children. Programs for three-year-olds meet Tuesdays and Thursdays; programs for four-year-olds meet Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Traditional Kindergarten for children who turn five by January 30th meets Mondays through Thursdays.
This bright and cheerful little red schoolhouse aims at providing a healthy balance between learning-directed, age-appropriate activities and time to develop social and physical skills through play activities.
