Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church is located on the corner of Memorial Drive and Memorial College Drive. Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church is an active, large and multicultural church which has been serving the Stone Mountain community for several years. It offers a youth program, counseling and an out-reach program.
Ever since it was established in 1994, Love and Grace Christian Academy has been a non-profit organization for children. It produces a phonetic program for children, who can learn how to read and write by the age of 4 years old by using the program. The academy has an active parent environment, too.
Premier Preschool and Childcare Center is located on Village Square Drive, which is off of Memorial Drive. Premier Preschool and Childcare Center is a full-service pre-school and children daycare center. It offers transportation and school pick-up, hot meals and a playground. New children are welcomed.
The Sunshine House on Annistown Road, near the intersection of Rockbridge and North DeShong roads, is part of a chain of daycare and preschool facilities. It accepts children from six weeks to 12 years of age, and has an educational program tailored to each age group for infants to five years. It has an after-school program for school-aged children.
The Sunshine House provides transportation to and from Princeton and Pine Ridge schools in DeKalb County, and Shiloh, Annistown, Centerville, Rosebud, Norton and Mountain Park schools in Gwinnett.
This Prime Care Learning Center, located just east of Stone Mountain Park on Rockbridge Road, is one of three centers in the metro Atlanta area. Prime Care accepts infants from six weeks and children up to 12 years old. It uses the HighScope program for its educational curriculum, which focuses on giving children a direct, hands-on learning experience with the subject matter.
Prime Care has a private pre-kindergarten class and also has one class that's part of the Georgia public schools program.
The Harvest School, located on North DeShong Road close to Rockbridge Road and DeShong Park, accepts children from six weeks to 12 years of age. It offers a prekindergarten class and a private preschool class. The school uses Macmillan Math, Early Reader and Pinnacle curricula. Spanish is taught four days a week.
The Harvest School stresses interaction in the community. Programs include visiting a local senior citizens center or taking the children to visit the center. A local librarian makes trips to the school to read to the children.
Voices of Faith Academy is located on Rockbridge Road, a short distance from Hot Buys Furniture store. The Voice of Faith Academy is a Christian school for children in Kindergarten through the 5th grade. They have a small campus well equipped campus which features a gymnasium and ball field.
Mountain Park First Baptist Church says they're somewhere in the middle of a contemporary and traditional church. Aside from its services and sermons, the church has supported many mission trips to different areas such as Honduras, Mali, Moldova and New Orleans. Many of its members are active in the community with volunteering and helping those in need, too.
