The Marlborough Police Department services the entire city of Marlborough with officers on the street and in the offices throughout the year. Services are available at the headquarters on Bolton Street or calling the non-emergency number. In the event of an emergency, dial 911.
The Wilmington Police Department works to protect and serve the community in a number of ways. A team of 48 committed men and women, the Wilmington police began in 1872 with the appointment of a special police officer. Today the department has a K-9 unit, a detective bureau and an auxiliary unit. It takes pride in its strong connection with the community's youth and school system. The WPD also offers crime-prevention and safety programs like self-defense classes and CPR as well as animal control services.
The Malden Police Department is located in a separate building at Government Center. The department's website has an impressive FAQ for residents, where they can learn about filing police reports, what to do if their cars are towed or how to obtain a firearms license. Massachusetts state police are responsible for motor vehicle regulations and criminal law enforcement throughout the state. The headquarters and barracks are located in Framingham off of Route 9 East. This is the oldest statewide law enforcement agency in the United States. It is headed by Col. Marian McGovern. There are 2,300 trained officers and about 400 civilian staff members in the department.
Under the leadership of Chief Mark A. Ray, the Beverly Police Department is situated in the heart of downtown Beverly, next door to City Hall, at 191 Cabot Street. The Beverly Police Department developed a Community Advisory Council to bring together members of the community and police. Divisions within the department include criminal investigations, patrol, special operations and animal control.

Located in what used to be the town's post office, the police station is home to a full-time force of 45 and a 15-member auxiliary department. Nine full-time and four part-time dispatchers answer 911 calls at the station's dispatch center. A "crime line," 508-473-3800, offers residents the ability to anonymously alert police to illegal or questionable activities.
