The Frankfort Police Department works to prevent crime, preserve peace and protect the rights, lives and property of the city residents through the enforcement of local, state and federal laws. It is comprised of more than 30 sworn officers. The department maintains patrol and investigation units. The Frankfort Police Department operates a crime prevention unit that conducts neighborhood crime watch and business and residential security surveys. In addition, it hosts children and adult safety and drug prevention and awareness programs. The department has a communication center that responds to various police, fire, and medical emergency and nonemergency cases. The Frankfort Police Department provides the copies of police reports.
