With a very busy swimming pool in the summer months, Cofer Park offers competitive swim team events and lessons. The park also has a lake, nature trails, picnic tables, playgrounds and a softball field. It is named after a member of a prominent local family.
Commonly known as the Rec Center, this busy place has something for everyone: pottery, yoga, karate, dance, gymnastics, art, as well as a playground and picnic area. A former school, the building and grounds cover 10 acres. The Browning Courthouse, a small wooden structure dating from 1860, has been relocated to the center.
