The Tropics opened in 1972 on this large lot near La Brea on Santa Monica Boulevard. Since then, the family-owned business has become one of the leaders in the exotic plants and trees industry. At 20,000 square feet, this enormous showroom houses thousands of rare tropical plants, trees, orchids and decorative accessories. They pride themselves on having this wide selection year-round, and creating a "perfect oasis" for clients' living and working environments. Clients include Disney, the Oscars, Universal Studios and a whole host of celebrities.
