Bethany Church, established in 1726 and based in Greenland, N.H., offers more than 70 ministries for men, women, youth, children and seniors. These include the adult, caring and children s ministries, worship arts, prayer, student, spiritual development and young adult ministry. More than 1500 people attend Bethany s Sunday morning worship on its 25-acre campus. The church offers a range of community-based outreach programs such as handing out light bulbs in apartment buildings, washing cars in the Wal-Mart parking lot, feeding sandwiches to the homeless and working with local homeless shelters and soup kitchens. Trinity Episcopal Church of Hampton, New Hampshire has a long tradition in the community dating back to the early 1950s. The parishs unofficial first service was held at the Old Grange Hall on September 13, 1953. The service attracted 43 worshipers and was celebrated by the Venerable Roger Barney. Two years later, Trinity was officially recognized by the Diocese as a mission in 1955, and the Reverend Parkman Howe formerly curate at Christ Church Exeter was named Trinitys first Vicar.
