The Ballard Vale United Church is a church following both the Methodist and Congregational faiths but will accept anybody into its community. The congregation is rooted in two different churches that both began in Andover in 1850. The two churches, the Union Congregational Church and the Methodist Episcopal Church, decided to merge in 1955. The church has been located at its current spot on Clark Road since 1967. The church still embodies both the Methodist and and the Congregational faiths.
The First Baptist Church of Bedford is a traditional congregation that serves the local town and surrounding communities. It offers regular services on Sunday mornings; child care is available. Sunday school is also available before Sunday services for school-aged children. Special services for holidays are held here and visitors are always welcome.
This quaint church near the center of town offers several Sunday masses to accomodate all parishoner's schedules. Those who cannot make it to mass can listen to audio recordings on the website later. St. Paul's Episcopal Church offers Sunday morning religious education for children to supplement what they learn in worship. The church boasts a children's, youth and adult choir.
North Congregational Church, founded in 1849, is part of the United Christ of Church association. It serves the local community as well as surrounding towns of Stoneham and Burlington. It offers religious education programs and classes for children and a music program. Services are held every Sunday at 10am. Visitors are welcome to attend.
The First Parish in Bedford is a Unitarian Universalist Church located near the town common. It offers small group ministries and fellowships. Religious education courses are available for both kids and adults. Kids courses take place on Sundays and Wednesdays. Adults courses occur on weekday evenings. Child care is available and visitors are always welcome.
This quaint church is tucked away in a residential neighborhood near Memorial Elementary School. Services are held three times a week.
Founded in 1730, First Church of Christ Congregational serves the Bedford Community with a variety of programs and groups, including youth programs, childcare, study groups, religious education courses and more. Services are held every Sunday morning, and are aired on the Bedford Religious Access Station on TV. The church performs baptisms, weddings and funerals, and also has a library and a music ministry. Visitors are always welcome.
More commonly known as a place to donate clothing, The Salvation Army is first and foremost a church and social service agency. All denominations are welcome, though the organization's belief system is rooted in the Methodist and Wesleyan faiths. Church services, Sunday school, youth, women's and men's programs take place weekly. Drop-off bins are available 24/7 for donations of clothing, shoes and soft items. A food pantry is also on site.
Located on the corner of Main Street Trinity is an Episcopal church that serves Woburn and surrounding communities. They offer Sunday School services for children and they have a choir. This location also offers Bible Study for adults as well. They perform special services such as funerals, baptisms and weddings. Confessions are also heard at Trinity Church. Visitors are welcome each week.
