After outgrowing its location in North Haven, Good News Christian Center has made its home at its present location on John Street in Wallingford for the past 10 years. Joe and Linda DeAngelo serve as pastors for the church, offering age-appropriate Bible study and education for children from infant to teen and beyond, in addition to the church's adult fellowship, programs and Bible education.

The Calvary United Church is located just minutes from the heart of downtown Wallingford. Its ministries include a youth program, prayer, Bible study, Sunday school, a ladies department, run by the pastor's wife and an international foreign missionaries program.

The Church, which offers a deaf ministry for the hearing impaired, is also affiliated with the United Pentecostal Church International.

The Zion Lutheran Church is a tight-knit congregation with 300 members strong.

In addition to its religious services, it has a youth program whose members take part in service activities, bible studies, fundraisers and events for the congregation. There is also an active Women's Ministry, Men's Ministry, Outreach Ministry and Music Ministry. 

The church is set on an expansive piece of property overlooking a wooded area that provides spectacular views and privacy. The grounds include a gazebo, pavilion and BBQ pit for members to take advantage of during the nice weather.

Pastor Robert Hass says what makes his church so special is that his members have an ability to constantly think of others as well as ways they can help the congregation and community at large.

The Evangelical and Reformed United Church of Christ on South Cherry Street was originally founded in 1908, and rebuilt in 1965.  The E&R, UCC has been under the direction of Reverend Attila Tobias since 2009. The congregation is small; however, it belongs to a much larger body in the United Church of Christ, which is 1.2 million members strong. English services are held weekly; Hungarian services with Bible school are held every two weeks. New members are welcome and may contact the church for more information or to attend a service.

Heritage Baptist Church, an independent Baptist church guided by Pastor Thomas Bish, makes its home at the site of the old Whittlesey Avenue School on the corner of Whittlesey and Ward.

The church, under the name of Heritage Baptist Academy,  provides full and part-time Christian education at this location,  beginning with pre-school and continuing through grade 12.

The church offers youth and adult programming, prayer meetings, and services, as well as fellowship.

Sunday's 11am service is simultaneously done in Filipino and Spanish.

St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church has a long history in the Yalesville section of Wallingford. Located at its current site since 1869, the original structure was torn down in 1960. The distinctive A-Frame you see today on Church Street was rebuilt in 1960 on the original foundation. St. John the Evangelist boasts a small but dedicated congregation. It has been independent since 1980.

Door of Hope Community Church is a Bible-driven fellowship that believes in Jesus Christ and welcomes all. Door of Hope provides daycare and nursery during Sunday services. The church hosts many family-oriented events. It provides support and counseling for married couples, parents and their children, and those in recovery. What the Beacon House Full Gospel Church lacks in membership numbers it makes up with spirit, togetherness and enthusiasm. Sunday service is held at 10am and includes time for praise, worship, music and discussion. Depending on the day, service can go on until late into the afternoon, and is then followed by a fellowship meal. The church extends an open invitation to attend its service to all who are interested in learning more about Beacon House.
