Cornerstone Church of Poway is a non-denominational church that is open to everyone. The church works to teach people about God and bring them closer to God so that they can help to make the world better. The church teaches hope even in the darkest of times. Cornerstone also works to bring its congregation together by offering different classes and programs for all ages. Olive Lutheran also offers a ministry program as well as a mission experience. Mt. Olive is particularly dedicated to serving women in its community, fostering a ministry for women called LWML (Lutheran Women's Missionary League.)

Living Way Church is a on-denominational church who accepts everyone. It focuses on the teachings of the bible and educating its congregation so that they can educate others about Christianity. Ministries are offered for everyone including Youth Ministries, College Ministries, Women's Ministries and Men's Ministries. During the summer months, Living Way Church meets at La Jolla Shores for beach-side ministries. Also, for people who were unable to make it to a service, the church keeps a database online of all of the Pastor's sermons.
St. Gabriel is a Catholic Church located on Twin Peaks Road in Poway. This church has a focus on music, not only having a music ministry, but a children's choir as well. The church also caters to the young by offering children's liturgy (K-6th grade) and youth programs to help children and teens stay actively involved in the church. A nursery is available on Sundays for Mass.
This Seventh Day Adventist church puts a strong focus on being accepting and active in the Poway community. One thing that sets Seventh Day apart from other churches is its diverse congregation that represents a dozen different nationalities. This church offers a blended community service the first Sunday of every month, mixing traditional and contemporary elements and featuring music by the choir and the Kairos singers. Sunday school and child care are also offered. Coffee, drinks and snacks are offered at the Agape Cafe every Sunday from 10:15-11:15am in the Fellowship Hall. When classes are not offered, there is a 'Do Church' program where congregation members work on hands-on mission projects.

Special note: The church's Historic Chapel is the oldest wooden structure still in use as a church in San Diego County and is used only for special services, memorial services, weddings and community gatherings.
