The original Pacifica Pizza, located on First Street, offers quality pizza made from the finest ingredients, including a variety of specialty and gourmet pies. The ingredients are purchased fresh from local farms in California, which means that Pacifica's pies are not only delicious, but healthy and sustainable too. Pacifica also offers salads, breadsticks and chicken wings made to order.
Benicia's bar scene was dragged into the "ultra lounge" era of the 21st century with the opening of The Rellik ("killer" spelled backward) by two Benicia men. It boasts an unprecedented set of historic Benicia photos on three walls, sizeable exhibitions of talented painters on another, 12 microbrews on tap, 50 wines sold by the glass, and the plushest furniture and most unique cocktails of any place in Benicia's 160 years of taverns. This site itself has apparently been a bar for at least 110 years, but with artistic décor and signage and modern infrastructure, it certainly doesn't show its age.
They also have an enclosed smoking deck so smokers aren't forced to stand on the sidewalk.
Avast ye, landlubber, if you don't like the Pirate's enthusiastic, nautically decorated role as the downtown's lone pizza parlor since 1972. Pizza Pirate has a reservable party room, a game room, comfy booths, a plentiful salad bar, four relatively small TVs and a generous array of draft beers, soft drinks and pasta dishes.
A local favorite, Napoli Pizza & Pasta offers a variety of Italian classics, including traditional pasta dishes and pizzas. This eatery has been around for 54 years and operated by the Guerrera Family for the last 42 of them. This Benicia location is the second Napoli restaurant-the original one is in Vallejo-and it brings the same delicious food closer to the people who can't make the trip out to Vallejo. The Napoli dining experience is fun, friendly, tasty and perfect for family and friends.
Located in Benicia's historic downtown area, the Loft Wine Bar is a tasting room-style bar offering a handpicked selection of small-production craft wines from Napa, Sonoma, Mendocino and the Central Coast locales. The Loft features forty wines to try by the glass, with new varietals introduced each month. An imported wine-of-the-month is also available. Wine aficionados and those new to wine are equally welcome, and the knowlegable staff can provide a wealth of information on vintages, varietals or just about anything else pertaining to wine. In addition, customers may purchase wines by the bottle, or may join the wine club for discounts on purchases and entry to Loft events.
