Carlos A. Encarnacion, M.D., FACP specializes in hematology and medical oncology. He is board certified in medical oncology and internal medicine. Credentials: Dr. Encarnacion earned his medical degree in 1986 from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. He completed an internship in internal medicine from the Veterans Administration Hospital in San Juan, Puerto Rico in 1990. He then completed a fellowship in medical oncology at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 1993. Accolades & Memberships: Dr. Encarnacion is a member of American College of Physicians, Texas Medical Association, McLennan County Medical Society, American Society of Clinical Oncology and American Society of Breast Disease. He is currently working on the development of a cancer awareness initiative directed to the Hispanic population of McLennan County in conjunction with the local chapter of the American Cancer Society.

Dr. Young was born and raised in Waco, Texas and returned in 1996 after a Cardiothoracic/Vascular residency. He and his wife and three children enjoy spending time on the lake and family trips. He has been involved with a clinical practice of cardiovascular and thoracic surgery in Waco since 1996.
